Easy & Painless
The first visit to a doctor’s office can sometimes seem intimidating, especially for kids. But, your first visit to Vroman Orthodontics will be completely painless.
This initial appointment will consist of a thorough examination and a discussion of potential treatment options. This important 30-minute visit will give us insight into your orthodontic needs.
We know your time is valuable, so to expedite treatment, we may also reserve time following the exam for diagnostic records.
The records include X-rays, photos and impressions for study models and are necessary for developing the appropriate treatment plan. This additional appointment will last approximately 30 minutes.
Creating Your Custom Treatment Plan
After carefully reviewing your records, Dr. Vroman will join you in a private consultation room to discuss your individualized and unique treatment plan. She will point out specific areas of concern and show you what kind of corrections you can expect by showing photos and videos of similar cases.
Dr. Vroman will take as much time as you need to answer your questions and decide what kind of treatment is best for you. Then we’ll walk you through what exactly you can expect from your orthodontic treatment, including:
- Is treatment needed now or should treatment be delayed until appropriate growth, tooth eruption or other factors have occurred?
- What treatment procedures will be used to correct the problem?
- Do any permanent teeth need to be removed?
- How long will treatment take?
- How much will it cost?
- What are my payment options?
We’ll discuss everything—from scheduling to expected discomfort levels, to finances and payment options.
Start Your Treatment the Same Day
The orthodontic treatment process involves a series of orthodontic visits. We value the relationship that we’ll build with you and your family throughout that process and want you to be confident that you’re receiving the best orthodontic care possible.
Once you feel like we've answered all of your questions and concerns, you can start your treatment that same day. We value your time and we know you want to make the most of your visit. We ask that first-time patients provide the following information:
- Any panoramic x-ray taken within the last six months.
- If you have orthodontic insurance, bring your insurance card. By providing this at your first visit, we’ll be able to give you an estimate of your costs.
